Winneba Area Head of
The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Ofei Ankra-Badu has reiterated that
celebrating mediocrity has been the major problem for Christians including
opinion leaders.
Apostle Ankra-Badu said this at the climax of the 2015 Christmas convention organized by the Abasraba District at Sakora Park in Winneba to an audience of over one thousand (1,000) Christians.
He also stated emphatically that Christmas is all about taking responsibility. Taking his main quotation from Matthew 1:18-23 and making reference to John 3:16, Apostle Ankra-Badu said that God took responsibility by sending his only begotten son to die for Christians.
He also hinted that, Mary and Joseph took responsibility, therefore, one needs to take responsibility before he or she could be celebrated. Throwing more light on this, he said Mary is celebrated by the Catholics because she took the responsibility on herself by accepting the will of God to be accomplished through her.
According to Apostle Ankra-Badu, Jesus wouldn’t have been born if God had refused to take responsibility. Thus, Christians and opinion leaders must avoid being mediocre but rather take bold and big initiative as their responsibility.
Again, he also stressed
that “people of character are people of responsibility just because it is their
obligation to do it.”
Apostle Ankra-Badu outlined some important things of being responsible required. According to him, responsibility carries a sense of duty, diligence, excellence, perseverance, accountability and finally a sense of initiative.
Going further, he
briefly explained all these vital points with bible references and examples.
