Mr. Stephen Frimpong Manso a lawyer and a lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Journalism said on Tuesday February 17, 2015 that the late president John Evans Atta Mills was not a good material for politics.
Mr. Manso believed that the late president Mills was well equipped in academic work as compared to politics and that Mills made a big mistake for accepting Rawlings’ invitation as his vice in 1996 when NDC won power.
Mr. Frimpong Manso likewise said bravely that he was the only one who criticized the late president Mills on radio after his demise.
“Atta Mills’ term of office as a president of Ghana stuck in limbo; he could not go forward and he could not go back. Therefore, Mills was not a good material for politics”. Besides, he expressed his big surprise and disappointed in many Ghanaians who were not bold enough to point out Mills mistakes but rather praised him after his demise." He said.
Moreover, Mr. Manso said Ghana was in all this mess because of poor leadership. Nonetheless, he was ever ready to help the country with his insight only if the leaders of the country were ready to seek advice from him.
